Africa is a continent endowed with enormous entrepreneurial potential. InEx is one of the major highlights of Top30Under30 Inaugural Awards billed for October 21-25, 2008. InEx will run for two days between the hours of 14.30 – 15.45 hrs on Thursday October 23 2008 and Friday October 24 2008 respectively.
Young people in Africa are often overlooked in the process of entrepreneurship. InEx is the ideal platform to showcase aspiring and budding young entrepreneurs with world-class products and ideas to participating Angel Investors, financing institutions and venture capital/private equity firms with interest or activities in Africa. These entrepreneurs will have the unparallel opportunity of pitching their ideas for a maximum of 10 minutes before some of the best names in the Investment community.
These budding entrepreneurs require financing to fuel their vision and take their business to the next level. Selected applicants will be eminently qualified and obviously under 30. Applications will be coordinated through the Top30Under30.com portal. 10 candidates (Fellows) will be selected and invited for the Exhibition based on ingenuity and the (socio-economic) impact potential of their ideas. Hence they will have the unique opportunity to showcase and pitch their business idea to Angel Investors, participating Banks, Venture Capitals, and Private Equity firms.
Top30Under30 will work with Branson School of Entrepreneurship based in South Africa to coordinate the selection process.
Selection Insight
InEx is looking for outstanding ideas with transformational impacts capable of creating Africa's successes, both present and future. We also want to ensure we have a diverse group of candidates in terms of business niches, gender, ethnic background, and geographic location.
Eligibility
Any young African, based on the continent who is 29 years old or younger on September 30, 2008, is eligible to enter and participate in InEx.
